Sarpanch to Chief Minister

Vilasrao Dagadojirao Deshmukh (26 May 1945 – 14 August 2012) was an Indian politician who served two terms as the Chief Minister of the state of Maharashtra. He was also served in the Union cabinet as the Minister of Science and Technology and Minister of Earth Sciences when he passed away of multiple organ failure in August 2012.  Here’s a look at the politician who rose from being a sarpanch of a small village to the Chief Minister of the state.
